Billy was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta in Indianola, MS. He now resides in DeFuniak Springs, FL with his wife, Stacey. He has three sons, Peyton, Logan, and Brantley. Peyton and Logan currently work for him while Brantley is on a golf scholarship at the University of Mobile. 

 

Billy grew up in his grandfather's hardware store, Kimbrough Hardware, until it burned down when he was still young. When he was 27 years old, he was hired as an assistant manager at the Ace Hardware in Crestview, FL. He managed his first store in Killearn, FL in 2000 and kept working his way up as opportunities presented themselves. In 2015, Billy became a 50% owner in Consolidated Group of NWFL, which consisted of six Ace Hardware stores. In 2021, he amicably separated from the company to become the sole owner of our Freeport, Destin, and Navarre locations.

Billy has worked almost every position in the company and has almost 30 years of hardware experience. These days, he is mostly in the office managing our inventory and financials or fine-tuning big-picture details for our company.
